Built between 1682– 1692, the Royal Hospital Chelsea features an incredible range of interior and exterior spaces, across a 66-acre site, ideal for any modern or period productions as well as shooting multiple scenes at one location.
With controllable roads, expansive gardens, wood-panelled halls, impressive facades, formal living spaces, stables, courtyards underground bunkers and more, there really is something for everyone.
Facilitating a shoot on site and nearby in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea couldn’t be easier, with an onsite unit base and multiple green room options: including a private, two-storey home and two different pavilions, all with toilet access and separate spaces for main cast or child actors.

Commercial Productions
The Royal Hospital Chelsea offers a stunning variety of interior and exterior spaces across its 66-acre site, making it the perfect location for both modern and period productions. With the ability to shoot multiple scenes in one location, our site provides an ideal backdrop for film and photography projects of all sizes.
We also accommodate unit bases, from small to large, on our South Grounds, with a dedicated entrance off the Victoria Embankment. This service is available for both productions filming on site and those shooting elsewhere in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
