Founder's Day Closures

Please note, due to Founder's Day taking place at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on Thursday 5th June, the following closures will be in place all day.

Visit the free, interactive Exhibition in the Soane Stable Yard and learn about the fascinating history of the Royal Hospital and the lives of Chelsea Pensioners through the centuries.

Opening Times:

The Exhibition is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9am to 5pm, with last admission at 4.30pm.

Entry is FREE and no ticket is required. 

Eminent architect, Sir John Soane designed and built The Soane Stable Yard in 1814-17. It has been refurbished over the last three years thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and support from other benefactors and charitable trusts.
