Welcome to our community
Our social media channels are a place to celebrate the lives and stories of the Chelsea Pensioners, share the history and heritage of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, and connect with the people who care about our mission.

We welcome everyone who joins us here - veterans, supporters, families, and friends - and ask only that you help us keep these spaces respectful, safe, and welcoming for all.

Our channels
You can find us on:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • X (formerly Twitter)
  • LinkedIn
  • YouTube

All of our official channels are managed by the Royal Hospital Chelsea Communications Team.

What we share
We use our social media channels to:

  • Celebrate the Chelsea Pensioners and their stories
  • Share news, events, and updates from the Royal Hospital Chelsea
  • Mark occasions of national and military significance
  • Highlight the work of our supporters, volunteers, and partners

We are committed to representing the Chelsea Pensioners with dignity, accuracy, and respect at all times.

Community standards
We want our channels to be a positive and welcoming space. We ask everyone engaging with us to:

  • Be respectful and considerate towards others
  • Keep comments relevant and constructive
  • Refrain from abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language
  • Avoid posting misleading, false, or harmful content
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of the Chelsea Pensioners and all individuals featured in our content

Moderation
Our channels are moderated by the Royal Hospital Chelsea Communications Team. We reserve the right to:

  • Remove comments or content that breach these guidelines
  • Hide or delete posts that are abusive, defamatory, or off-topic
  • Block or restrict users who repeatedly breach these standards
  • Report content or users to the relevant platform or authorities where the law requires

We will always aim to moderate fairly and consistently. Where content is removed, it is because it does not meet the standards we uphold for this community - not to suppress legitimate feedback or opinion.

Privacy and photography
The Chelsea Pensioners are private individuals as well as public figures, and their dignity and privacy matter to us deeply. If you share photographs or content featuring Chelsea Pensioners or other individuals, please ensure you have their permission to do so.

For information on how we handle personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Safeguarding
The welfare of the Chelsea Pensioners and all vulnerable individuals associated with the Royal Hospital Chelsea is our highest priority. If you have a safeguarding concern, please do not raise it via social media. Contact us directly at comms@chelsea-pensioners.org.uk or call +44 (0)20 7881 5200.
