Royal Hospital Chelsea Competition – Official Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is The Royal Hospital Chelsea, Royal Hospital Road, London, SW3 4SR (“the Promoter”).
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
2.2 Employees of the Promoter, its agents, suppliers, contractors, or anyone professionally connected with the competition, as well as their immediate family members, are excluded from participation.
2.3 The Promoter reserves the right to require proof of eligibility in such form as it deems appropriate.
3. How to Enter
3.1 Entry is free and no purchase or payment is required.
3.2 To enter, participants must follow the instructions set out in the official competition post or promotional material.
3.3 Only one entry per person will be accepted. Duplicate, bulk, or automated entries will be disqualified.
3.4 Entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions will be void.
4. Competition Period
4.1 The competition will open on 17th November and will close on 17th December.
4.2 Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be accepted.
5. Prize
5.1 There is one (1) prize available, consisting of two (2) tickets for a guided Tour of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The total value of the prize is £50.00.
5.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash or other alternative will be offered.
5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value should circumstances make this necessary.
5.4 The prize is subject to availability and to the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s standard visitor terms and conditions.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
6.1 The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period.
6.2 The draw will take place within 7 working days of the closing date.
6.3 The winner will be notified via Direct within seven (7) days of the draw.
6.4 If the winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.
6.5 The Promoter’s decision regarding all matters relating to the competition shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Prize Fulfilment
7.1 Arrangements for claiming or redeeming the prize will be communicated directly to the winner.
7.2 The Promoter reserves the right to require proof of identity and eligibility before awarding the prize.
7.3 Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable time may result in forfeiture of the prize.
8. Publicity
8.1 By entering the competition, entrants consent to the use of their name, likeness, and town or county of residence by the Promoter for promotional and publicity purposes in connection with the competition, in any media, without additional payment or permission, unless the entrant notifies the Promoter otherwise in writing.
9. Data Protection
9.1 The Promoter will collect and process personal data relating to entrants in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at https://chelsea-pensioners.co.uk/privacy-policy
9.2 Personal data will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition and, where applicable, for publicity related to the competition.

10. Liability
10.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, corrupted, or otherwise not received due to technical faults or other factors beyond its reasonable control.
10.2 The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from their participation in the competition or from accepting or using the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Cancellation and Amendment
11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition where it becomes necessary to do so for reasons beyond its reasonable control.
11.2 In such circumstances, reasonable notice will be provided on the Promoter’s official website or social media channels where practicable.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute arising therefrom shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute.
