At The Royal Hospital Chelsea, we produce a wide range of materials, including images, to promote our mission, generate vital funds and launch awareness campaigns. Our forms that ask for media consent allow you to give consent to the use of your likeness, the likeness of your child/children or someone you care for in images we may take or feature.
Our top priority is to create a safe and supportive environment for the community to thrive. In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the images we take will only be used for promotional and educational purposes. This may include:
- Social media posts
- Website content
- Fundraising campaigns
- Newsletters
- Marketing materials
Conditions of use:
- We never sell or swap your details with any third parties for commercial purposes.
- Any forms submitted are valid for the period of time that The Royal Hospital Chelsea uses photos and/or videos of you and/or your child’s/children’s likeness in any of its marketing and PR activities (social media, website, literature and print, etc).
- You have the right to say when you want us to stop using photos and videos of your likeness, please email media@chelsea-pensioners.org.uk with your request. We will respond as soon as possible and will stop using any photos and/or videos of your likeness in new materials or content that we produce in the future. If you also want existing materials or content to be taken down, please let us know. We will endeavour to remove every instance within 30 days, although it will not always be possible to remove previously printed materials and published content. Please email us after this period if you notice anything that we might have missed.
- By signing forms asking for your consent, you will automatically be added to an email list that will ask you every two years to re-confirm your consent to us using photos and videos of your and/or your child’s/children’s likeness. You still have the right to say when you want us to stop using photos and videos of your likeness outside of this timeframe.
- If we require to use your name (only first name if under 16) and age, we will get in contact to obtain your permission separately.
- We will not include personal contact details on our website, video, social media or printed publications.
- We can use your image and name publicly free of charge.
If you have any questions, would like to discuss any concerns you might have or revoke consent please email media@chelsea-pensioners.org.uk.
Please note, the Charity requires guardian/parental consent until the age of 16 in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you are below the age of 18 or have any questions before completing this image consent form, we encourage you to contact a member of our team at media@chelsea-pensioners.org.uk. We are committed to helping you understand your rights and ensuring that your consent is informed and voluntary.
