Practice Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of The Royal Hospital's NHS GP medical centre, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient care.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice, managing clinical and non-clinical staff, providing high-quality patient-focused services to the Chelsea Pensioners, and fostering a positive and effective working environment. As Practice Manager, you will provide leadership and operational oversight to ensure the practice meets its objectives and contractual obligations.
A crucial element of your role will be supporting service delivery to achieve targets across QOF, enhanced services, and network contracts. You will contribute to strategic planning and development, submit data to external bodies on time, and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
The appointed candidate will lead the strategic development of patient services in line with national and local policies, taking ownership of appointment scheduling, clinical rotas, locum coordination, and complaints management. They will work closely with external organisations such as the Integrated Care Board, NHS England, and the Primary Care Network to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery. The role also includes responsibility for financial planning and budgeting to optimise income, supporting the wider strategic direction of the practice while ensuring full compliance with NHS regulations and information governance standards.
We are looking for someone with proven leadership and management experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and a recognised qualification in management or leadership. Experience in primary care management is essential, and NHS, along with financial and performance management expertise, is highly desirable.
