Practice Manager
Closing date: 28th December 2025
Due to an unexpected opportunity arising, we need to appoint a Practice Manager at the Royal Hospital Chelsea's NHS GP surgery.
This is a key leadership role, and you will be responsible for managing a small but dedicated practice team in providing high-quality, safe and patient-focused clinical services to the Chelsea Pensioners, and for fostering a positive and effective working environment. Reporting to the Royal Hospital's senior GP, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day work of the practice and ensuring that the practice:
- meets its local and national NHS objectives and contractual obligations, working closely with all relevant external organisations to promote effective collaboration and service delivery, an
- is compliant with CQC standards and regulations and is ready for a successful CQC inspection at all times.
You will contribute to the strategic planning and development of patient services in line with national and local NHS policies, and the role also includes responsibility for financial planning and budgeting to optimise income and expenditure in line with the aims of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking, highly organised individual with strong communication and organisational skills, but we also need a flexible leader, who is willing to assist with the wider duties of the medical centre admin team when needed.
Whilst proven leadership and management experience (ideally in the GP surgery environment) is highly desirable, this role is open to those who are not yet medical practice managers, but who can demonstrate the qualities needed to succeed in this position.
