Housekeeper
At the Royal Hospital Chelsea, we pride ourselves on providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our Chelsea Pensioners and visitors. We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Housekeeper who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining high standards.
About the Role
You will be responsible for ensuring all communal areas, berths, and heritage spaces are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard. This includes deep cleaning carpets, kitchens, and laundry rooms, as well as polishing woodwork and fixtures. The role also involves preparing berths for new occupants, and cleaning across offices, event spaces, and public areas. Reporting maintenance issues, safeguarding concerns, and adhering to Health & Safety requirements are key parts of the role.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who can work independently, use initiative, and demonstrate flexibility. A good standard of written and spoken English is essential for effective communication. Experience in housekeeping and knowledge of Health & Safety practices are desirable. Applicants should hold a Food Handling and Hygiene certificate and ideally an NVQ Level 2 in Support Services in Health Care.
