Cash & Payment Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Cash & Payments Assistant to support our Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth payment and income processes.
You’ll be responsible for managing purchase orders, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits. The role also involves handling sales receipts, banking transactions, and assisting with financial reporting.
We’re looking for someone highly numerate, detail-oriented, and confident communicating across departments. AAT part-qualified or QBE is preferred, and experience in the charity sector is a plus. This is a full time and permanent role working an average of 41 hours per week.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the accounts payable ledger and ensure timely, accurate payments
- Process sales receipts and intercompany journals
- Reconcile supplier statements and aged creditors
- Support audits, banking, and general finance operations
- Collaborate across departments to uphold financial integrity
What we’re looking for:
- AAT part-qualified or QBE (qualified by experience)
- Strong numeracy and communication skills
- Experience in accounts payable/receivable, ideally in the charity sector
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence
