A talk by Marina Spiteri

Join us for a fascinating talk on the Suffragettes movement and their battle to secure equality and voting rights for women, presented by Marina Spiteri, Community Engagement & Outreach Manager, here at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. We welcome all Veterans from the Tri-Services and the Merchant Navy in receipt of a state pension to take part. Spaces are limited, so be sure to book early and join us for a warm and friendly afternoon celebrating the season.

About Marina

Marina has had a fascination with the women's suffrage movement since she was a child, frequently visiting the Museum of London to see their extensive collections on the subject. When she secured her first job working at the museum, the was delighted to be able to deliver extensive public tours of their collection, meet with experts and historians and to build her knowledge and develop a London-based walking tours. Marina also focused on the experience of female police officers during the First World War during her studies, which plays a parallel part in the women's suffrage story.
