Throughout the changing seasons, the gardens offer a unique moment of calm for Chelsea Pensioners in the heart of the city and provide an important habitat for nature. Once the site of the famous Ranelagh Pleasure Gardens and now home to the annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the grounds also offer a fascinating glimpse into the social history of eighteenth-century London.
Hear stories from the gardens’ past, discover how Chelsea Pensioners use the space today, and take some time to enjoy its natural surroundings.
This walk takes place outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

A keen history and nature lover, she has researched the history of Ranelagh Pleasure Gardens and regularly explores the gardens herself.
