Horse Banner Workshop: Craft a Piece of Stable Yard History - Chelsea History Festival

Updated:

Saddle up for a fun-filled, hands-on creative adventure at our Stable Yard-inspired banner workshop.

About the event

Join us in this drop-in workshop as we bring the spirit of the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s historic Soane Stable Yard to life through collaborative art-making. Children of all ages are invited to help decorate a large, colourful banner that celebrates the role of the magnificent horses that once served the Hospital.

While you stick, paint and design, we’ll share fascinating stories from the past—tales of the horses, the people who cared for them, and how they helped shape the history of this iconic place.

Whether you stay for ten minutes or the whole session, everyone gets to contribute to this special piece of art that will go on display to celebrate the legacy of the Stable Yard.

This is a free drop-in event. Booking is not required.
