Step back in time and explore daily life during the Second World War with military historian Paul Hunt at the Soane Stable Yard. This is a unique, free drop-in experience for all ages.

Discover genuine wartime artefacts, including gas masks, 1940s kitchenalia, and items reflecting children’s experiences of war. Learn about the Home Guard and ARP through original uniforms and equipment. See powerful relics from The Blitz, including remains of V1 and V2 rockets that fell on Chelsea.

About the speaker

Paul Hunt is a military historian and an active member of the Royal British Legion. He has over 20 years’ experience offering engaging talks and hands-on displays.
