HR Manager

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to join our team and contribute to the continued care and support of the Chelsea Pensioners.
In this vital role, you will lead the implementation of HR policies and strategies, with a strong focus on day-to-day operations, learning and development initiatives, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
As our HR Manager, you will be at the heart of translating strategic HR leadership into actionable frameworks and procedures.
A key focus of this role is supporting a culture of continuous development and high performance. You will work closely with directors and senior managers to identify training needs across the organisation and arranging or delivering solutions that enhance capability at all levels. You will manage the development and implementation of training programmes, support performance improvement plans, and provide coaching and mentoring to staff and managers alike.
As a key advisor to managers and staff, you will provide expert guidance on HR policy and best practice. You will play a critical role in shaping a positive and inclusive workplace culture promoting engagement initiatives and coaching and mentoring activities. You will also manage and develop the HR team across all HR functions.
By fostering a culture of engagement and inclusion, you will ensure employees feel heard, valued, and empowered.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will have substantial HR management experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. You will be adept at managing change, resolving conflict, and building relationships at all levels. A sound knowledge of employment law, performance management, and employee relations is essential. You should be qualified to degree level (or have equivalent experience) and hold a CIPD qualification at Level 5–7. Experience in HR Business Partnering and a commitment to continuous professional development are also key to success in this role.
