Jewish Community of Chania and the fate of the Jews of Crete.

Meet the Storyteller

Anna Conomos-Wedlock

Anna Conomos-Wedlock is a multi-award-winning Performance Storyteller, author and coach working in London, UK wide and internationally. She works in education, entertainment and training programmes for audiences of all ages.

Her performances are charged with energy and emotion, they are immersive and pull the audience into a history that is captivating and alive. Anna is vocally and physically versatile and includes heart wrenching songs and music in her performances.

Her storytelling work includes live and filmed performance, coaching, lecturing, outreach projects, screenplay and book writing. Her passion lies in the research, writing and telling of real-life narratives.

Anna is also a university lecturer in storytelling in the US and has won awards for both her performance and teaching programmes including Young Storyteller of the Year UK, Storyteller for the Federation of Children’s Book Groups as well as residences in UK schools, museums and art galleries bringing to life curriculum, history, art and heritage through compelling narrative and script writing.

Working in the UK and internationally Anna’s audiences include politicians, business executives and professionals, world religious leaders and members of the British Royal Family.

She writes, creates and performs bespoke performances for venues and audiences in every possible context - crypts, castles, cruise boats, amphitheatres, literature festivals, lecture theatres, school halls, museum galleries, offices, ancient ruins, synagogues, floating theatres!
