A group of Chelsea Pensioners sit side by side on a wooden bench indoors, wearing their scarlet uniforms and RH hats. They are smiling and laughing together, with medals visible on their coats. Several hold walking sticks, and the scene conveys companionship, pride, and shared humour.

Design‑Your‑Own Military Uniform Workshop

Join us in the Soane Stable Yard for a free, drop‑in creative workshop celebrating the remarkable women who have served throughout military history.

Children can choose from three illustrated templates of women in military uniform - including a Chelsea Pensioner - and design and colour their own unique uniform.

Each template includes a short introduction to the role, helping young visitors learn about the diverse contributions women have made to the armed forces while expressing their creativity.

This hands‑on activity runs continuously from 10:00 to 16:00, and families are welcome to drop in at any time.

Come explore, create, and celebrate the stories of inspiring women in uniform.
