We are seeking a part time Retail Assistant to work in the shop of our new Visitor Centre.

The Retail Assistant will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service, staying updated on product information, and managing point-of-sale processes. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels and visual merchandising standards, handling deliveries, fulfilling online sales, and assisting with 'Pop Up' shops during events.  This role also involves covering for the Post Office Supervisor and training will be provided on using the Post Office system.

The ideal candidate will possess clear communication and interpersonal skills, and a good level of numeracy. Desirable skills include computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook), familiarity with retail point of sale systems, and online shop platforms. Experience in the heritage or museum sector and working with volunteers is a plus. Competences required include maintaining high levels of customer service, strong organisational skills, and an attention to detail.
